Hedgehog Crossing
Help our declining Hedgehog population by adding a Highway Crossing in your neighbourhood. Garden connectivity is crucial for Hedgehog survival. Allow free flow passage by cutting a hole in your garden fence. This recycled plastic doorway will strengthen and reinforce the hole cut - not to mention adding a little wild charm.
Hedgehogs can travel up to a mile in one night to feed. During the mating season (April-May), males will travel further still. Adding a highway is considered to be one of the most important ways that you can contribute to their survival.
The Hedgehog Crossing has four pre-drilled holes for fixing with instructions included. When choosing a suitable location, consideration should be given to busy roads – you do not want your hedgehog to exit straight onto a main road. Also ask your neighbours permission before cutting a hole in the fence and check that they do not have any small pets that may escape.
